Fraud Director Selected

 

     As of December 31, 2008 Armand Glick retired from the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office where he served for 21 years. His latest assignment was as Captain over the Southwest Patrol Precinct, which includes Herriman, Bluffdale and the Southwest area of the Salt Lake Valley.

     During his enforcement career Armand has worked many assignments including patrol officer, a detective investigating property and white collar crimes, and a school resource officer. Armand supervised the Support Services Division which included dispatch, records, property and evidence, and the auto fleet for the Sheriff’s Office.

     In addition, Armand has served on a number of national committees representing local law enforcement in the State of Utah that have broadened his base of understanding and experience in the enforcement field. This includes serving on the FBI CJIS working group to regulate NCIC, a nationwide computer system; the Western Identification Network (WIN), a program that automates electronic fingerprinting for seven western states; Utah's Concealed Weapons Hearing Board; and the Utah Communications Agency Network - (UCAN), a public safety radio network infrastructure that public safety agencies use to communicate with various enforcement agencies in Utah.

     Armand is a native of Utah. He graduated from Granite High. He went on to earn an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice from the Salt Lake Community College, a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Weber State, and a Masters of Public Administration from BYU.

     Armand thrives on challenges and is excited for the new opportunity for growth and learning the new position promises to bring. His goal is to continue to make the Fraud Division a great place to work and develop strong relationships with other agencies, both public and private. He hopes to help the Fraud Division increase its national and local recognition while providing the highest level of investigative expertise possible.
